As an engineering measure serving agricultural production, sprinkler irrigation system is mainly composed of water source engineering, first unit, water distribution pipe system and sprinkler head.
1. Water source engineering.Rivers, lakes, reservoirs and well springs can be used as water sources for sprinkler irrigation, but corresponding water source projects, such as pump stations, ancillary facilities and water regulation pools, must be built.
2. Water pump and matching power machine.Sprinkler irrigation requires the use of pressurized water to spray.Water is usually pumped to pump, pressurize and transfer water to various pipelines and sprinkler heads, and spray it through the sprinkler head.Spray irrigation can use a variety of agricultural pumps, such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, deep-well pumps.The motor is often used as the power engine of the pump where power is supplied.Diesel engine, tractor, hand tractor, etc. can be used as power pumps in places where power consumption is difficult.
3. Piping system and accessories.The pipe system generally consists of two levels: dry pipe, branch pipe and vertical pipe. The purpose of the pipe system is to transfer the pressure water to the field sprinkler head.The dry pipe and branch pipe are used to transport and distribute water. The vertical pipe is installed on the branch pipe and the end is connected with the sprinkler head.The piping system is provided with a variety of joint and control accessories, including gate valve, tee, elbow and other joint, and sometimes fertilizer application is provided at the upper end of the trunk or branch pipe.
4. The nozzle.The sprinkler heads pump water from the pipe system into the air through the nozzles, creating the effect of rain falling on the ground to irrigate crops.The sprinkler head installed on the vertical pipe or directly installed on the branch pipe is the key equipment in the sprinkler system.
Field work.For mobile sprinkler operation in the field, it is necessary to build channels, regulating pools and corresponding buildings in the field, and lead irrigation water from the water source to the field, so as to meet the requirement of sprinkler irrigation.
